Date: September 6, 2022 3:00 P.M. Location: Emery County Administration Building 75 E Main Street, Castle Dale, Utah Emery County Board of Commissioners: Lynn Sitterud, Chairman Kent Wilson Gil Conover -Pledge of Allegiance/ Invocation- (Note to the public: The consent agenda consists of item(s) that are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted in the form of one motion. Any items can be removed from the consent agenda and heard in its regular order at the request of any commissioner.) CONSENT AGENDA Items to be pulled for discussion by the Board will be placed first on the list of discussion items. All other consent agenda items will be approved in one motion. Approval of check edit list, requisitions, and dispositions. Approval of the August 16, 2022 Commission Meeting Minutes. NOTIFICATION selected Meagan Scow as the Assistant Librarian in Castle Dale. Wage Grade 7. Effective 8-29-22 Approval to give Melinda Gordon a 3% wage increase for successful completion of her 6 month orientation period as the Administrative Assistant at the Sheriff's Office. Effective 9-19-22 Approval to give Kimberley Howes a 3% wage increase for successful completion of her 6 month orientation period as the Dispatch Supervisor. Effective 9-19-22 Approval to give Dezeray Hernandez a 3% wage increase for successful completion of her 6 month orientation period as a Justice Court Clerk. Effective 9-19-22 Approval to give Mitzi Lopez a 3% wage increase for successful completion of her 6 month orientation period as a Justice Court Clerk. Effective 9-19-22 Approval to promote Tyler Frandsen to a Head Lifeguard. Grade 5. Effective 9-19-22 Approval to promote Sydney Carter to a Head Lifeguard. Grade 5. Effective 9-19-22 NOTIFICATION - Deputy Kyler Farley graduated POST Law Enforcement Academy on 6-16-22 and started his FTO on the road 6-21-22. No wage increase. Approval of Dalton Hinkins to be a volunteer/intern at the Emery County Attorney's Office. Approval of Conflict of Interest form on behalf of Lane Gardner's work at Genco Mine Services. Approval of Cody Wilstead to be the full-time Lube Mechanic at the Road Department. Wage Grade 16. Discussion Items Items that require discussion before approval by motion. Items pulled from the consent agenda. Ratification of Emery County Ambulance Dedicated Standby Agreement between Emery County Ambulance and Minim Productions, Inc. Ratification of contract between Emery County and CJ's Custom Tree Service for tree removal at Ferron Library. Ratification of simple contract agreement between Emery County and Peterson Chemical for finish work on flooring at the San Rafael Energy Research Center. Presentation and Thank You from Castle Country Classic Livestock Show. Presentation and Thank You from Emery County 4H regarding Washington D.C. Trips. Discuss/Approve/Deny Ordinance Establishing Regulations for Acquisition, Management and Disposal of County Property and Repealing Ordinance No. 08-02-16 and all amendments thereto. Discuss/Approve/Deny allowing EMT's mileage reimbursement for trips over five miles in personal vehicles when responding to incidents. Discuss/Approve/Deny temporary closure of Ghost Road on October 8 for the Witch and Wizard Run hosted by the Museum of the San Rafael. Discuss/Approve/Deny the annual Wellness Clinic to be held October 26th and 27th from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. each day. County will be billed $200 for each full time employee who participates in the comprehensive blood draw. Discuss/Approve/Deny giving each full time employee who participates in the Comprehensive Blood draw, in conjunction with the Annual Wellness Clinic, 4 hours of sick leave. Discuss/Approve/Deny approval of contract between Emery County and Vista Works Destination Management. Discuss/Approve/Deny contract for services between Emery County and Horizon Series Inc. for traffic control for an upcoming film shoot on the desert. Commission/Elected Officials Reports. Adjourn.
