CLINTON CITY REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE, RECYCLING, AND GREEN WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES Addendum #1 July 27, 2022 I. Proposal Due Date Change The proposal due date has been changed from July 28, 2022 at noon to Monday, August 1, 2022 at noon. The firms must submit three hard copies of the proposal on or before 12:00 noon, August 1, 2022 to Dennis Cluff, City Manager at Clinton City Hall located at 2267 N. 1500 W. Clinton, Utah. Please also submit an electronic copy to dcluff@clintoncity.com II. Price Proposal for Recycling and Green Waste A question has been asked about the number of recycling or green waste cans that the city expects to have. At this time we do not know how many cans are to be expected. The firms may submit a proposal for green waste and recycling cans with a tiered approach showing costs for different percentage or number of cans participating in the program. Include the minimum number of cans required or percentage of city to begin the programs. I. Purpose Clinton City is seeking proposals from licensed solid waste collection firms for Residential Solid Waste, Recycling, and Green Waste Collection Services for the next 5 years, with the option of renewing thereafter. II. Scope of Work The Scope of Work includes providing weekly garbage can pick up (black) and optional biweekly recycling can pick up (blue) and a weekly green waste can (green) pick up from curbside at each residential unit within Clinton City. Clinton City has approximately 6,800 'first' black cans, and 3,400 'second' black cans. The City currently does not a have recycling or green waste collection service. The scope also includes providing and servicing larger collection containers at city parks and city facilities and containers for community clean up days. Solid Waste is to be collected and delivered to the Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District in Layton, Utah. Clinton City pays for all tipping fees directly to the Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District. See full RFP below.
