La Verkin City Council Meeting Agenda Wednesday, March 2, 2022, 6:00 p.m. Council Chambers, 111 S. Main, La Verkin, Utah 5:30 p.m. Work Meeting 1. Local Government Structure training A. Meeting Called to Order: Invocation by Invitation; Pledge of Allegiance B. Recognition: 1. Business Spotlight C. Consent Agenda: (Items on the consent agenda may not require discussion. These items will be a single motion unless removed at the request of the Mayor or City Council.) 1. Declarations of conflict of interest 2. Agenda 3. Meeting Minutes: January 19, 2022, regular meeting 4. Checks and Invoices: $297,981.28 D. Business: 1. Discussion and possible action to approve Ordinance No. 2022-02; an ordinance amending subsection B of section 10-6G2-2-5 of the La Verkin City Code to limit uses provided in such section to no more than 3,000 feet from the Intersection of SR-9 and SR-17. 2. Discussion and possible action to authorize the City to go out to bid on the 2022 Road & Utilities Improvements Project and to approve the language of the proposed bids, specifications, and contract therefor. 3. Discussion and possible action to authorize the City to go out to bid on the 2022 Water Improvements Project, and to approve the language of the proposed bids, specifications, and contract therefor. Mayor & Council Reports: Mayor Wilson: Blair Gubler: Washington County Solid Waste, Homeland Security/CERT Wise: Planning Commission/Zoning, Beautification/Trails Committee, Economic Development/Tourism, Confluence Park Micah Gubler: Public Safety, Recreation/City Festivals Hirschi: Fire District, Ash Creek Special Service District, DTEC Hardy: Southwest Mosquito Abatement, Historical Preservation F. Citizen Comment & Request for Future Agenda Items: No action may be taken on a matter raised under this agenda item. This item is reserved for the citizens of La Verkin who have items not listed on this agenda. There is a time limit of 15 minutes with each individual taking no more than 3 minutes. G.
