Emergency Coordinator Shea Walkertalked about the possibility of creating a new municipal building authority for future projects for the department. Shea mentioned that the creation of a building authority would clean up future projects that we would need to get bonded. Shea said that currently the department uses Grand Counties building authority and although we have not had any problems with this process to date it could potentially be problematic in the future. There was some discussion about the creation process and the commission decided to take more time to digest the information and make a more clear decision. Chief Brewer suggested that we have a special meeting next Tuesday at 4pm and a building authority meeting at 4:30 pm so that everything that legally needs to be posted can be posted appropriately.
The Commission spoke about discussion about the FEPP Build during the Chiefs Report and that no other discussion was needed.
Chief Brewer discussed a spouse CPR class and invited the commissioners to have their spouses to attend.
Chief Brewer also mentioned that due to the recent news of two children committing suicide in the recent months he would like to do something with the fire department to speak out against bullying and help the schools with showing our support for the staff and the students.
