NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Engineer, located at 349 South 200 East, Suite 600, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 until 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 for the following: LOCAL STREETS RECONSTRUCTION 2022 #2, Job No. RDW21011. Electronically submitted bids or bids delivered to any other location will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened online via Webex at or about 2:15 p.m., local prevailing time on November 17, 2021. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Contract Documents may be obtained for free online via SciQuest (The Utah Supplier Portal) The plans and specifications can be reviewed and downloaded at the following web site: https://bids.sciquest.com/apps/Router/PublicEvent?CustomerOrg=StateOfUtah To ensure notification of addenda is received, BIDDERS please register with Utah Public Procurement Place (SciQuest). The construction contract will be awarded in compliance with the City's value-based procurement program which takes into account certain factors in the Bidder's work environment. For more information about this program please read SLC Administrative Rules, Procurement Roles Chapter 19 (See document 00 22 18, Article 1.2 paragraph 'A' for a link). ATTENTION TO CONTRACTORS: On November 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. a pre-bid conference will be held online via Webex. Specific meeting instructions will be found on SciQuest prior to the meeting. Attendance is highly encouraged. All contractors intending to submit a bid are invited to attend to obtain relevant information concerning the project. Bidders are advised that information affecting drawings, specifications, conditions, Scope of Work, etc. may be discussed. OWNER assumes no obligation to disclose information discussed at the pre-bid conference to Bidders who do not attend. Absent Bidders assume all risk of failure to attend. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: street improvements (i.e. replacement of concrete flatwork, ADA ramps, and C&G; replacement of pavement and reclaimed aggregate with cement stabilizer) and storm drainage upgrades. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any Bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the City. If assistance is required, please contact the above office 72 hours before the bid opening. Effective January 1, 2021, Salt Lake City Engineering will no longer publish formal Notices to Bidders in any print publications. All vendors intending to participate in sourcing events with the City must register online with SciQuest, the Utah Supplier Portal. Bidders can receive notifications electronically upon registration.
