NOTICE OF BOARD VACANCY - INVITATION TO APPLY PINON FOREST SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT NOTICE is hereby given that the Pinon Forest Special Service District has one to three openings on its administrative control board. The administrative control board meets monthly and directs the operations of the Special Service District, which operates a bulk-water dispensing station. A board member will be expected to attend and participate in board meetings and provide oversight to district personnel and contractors. The primary qualification to be a board member is to live within the boundaries of the district. Duchesne County officers and employees may also be appointed. Where more than 50% of the residences are seasonally occupied residences, then a land owner or land owner's agent may serve on the board. Qualified persons are invited to submit applications to serve of a member of the board of the Pinon Forest Special Service District to the secretary of the Duchesne County Commission, Ms. Melissa Hughes, at 734 E. Center St., Duchesne, Utah 84021 or by email at melissa.hughes@duchesne.utah.gov on or before 5:00 p.m. on December 6, 2021. Questions regarding application should be directed to Ms. Hughes at (435) 738-1139. A decision on appointments is anticipated to be made on December 13, 2021. Appointments will be for a four-year term. Notice shall be posted and remain posted in 4 public places in the district and on the public notice website for Duchesne County and also for the Pinon Forest Special Service District at least one month prior to December 6, 2021. Notice will also be published at least one time in the Uintah Basin Standard.
