Report on City Council Meeting held September 20, 2021.
CONSIDER AMENDMENTS TO SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE - 13.20 DEFINITIONS (Legislative)
Consider clarifying the definition of a 'Subdivision' to include 'division or development of land'. The goal is for connectivity of streets and sidewalks. Consider other appropriate amendments as needed to accomplish the goal.
CONSIDER ADDITIONAL CHANGES TO THE ADU ORDINANCE (Legislative)
Review proposed changes for internal and detached ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units). Prepare a draft proposal to forward to the City Council. Consider Smithfield Fire Department input for safety purposes.
CONSIDER UPDATES TO THE MASTER ROAD PLAN (Legislative)
Based on the recent engineering study, recommend updates and changes to the Master Road Plan.
CONSIDER SUBDIVISION TRAILS DENSITY OPTION (Legislative)
Craft a Trails Density Option for the Subdivision ordinance.
CONSIDER SHORT-TERM RENTAL REGULATIONS (Legislative)
Consider appropriate regulations for short-term rentals in Hyde Park City. Consider Smithfield Fire Department input for safety purposes.
CONSIDER MIXED-USE OVERLAY ZONE (Legislative)
Consider creating a mixed-use overlay zone for parts of Hyde Park City. It could be a mix of housing types, and/or a mix or residential and commercial development, in the same parcel/property.
