SYRACUSE CITY Syracuse City Disaster Prep Committee September 23 - 6:30 p.m. Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S. Notice is hereby given that the Syracuse City Disaster Prep Committee will participate in a meeting on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in the large conference room of the Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S., Syracuse City, Davis County, Utah. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss/review the following items: Welcome: Duane Cheney Call to Order: Duane Cheney Prayer: TBD Pledge Read Meeting Minutes: Patrick Approve Meeting Minutes Action Item Update: 1. Rich Armstrong has requested the opportunity to address the committee. 2. The first CERT Training class was postponed due to COVID surges in the city. 3. The videotaping of the RDAP was postponed due to COVID surges. 4. The RDAP training at the Syracuse Fire Station was postpone. 5. Open House at the Fire Station on October 7th was cancelled. 6. Next year's April Disaster Preparedness Exercise recommendations: a. Disaster: Find the Issue and report. b. Gas line explosion within the city boundaries c. Wildfire in bound towards city d. Local Anarchy e. Earthquake f. Chemical spills Additional concept options to be presented The recommendation of the April 2022 Disaster Preparedness Exercise will be proposed and voted on. City Website Presentation: 1. Judy to report on zoom class held on September 11, 2021, to be posted on the City Website. 2. 'How to Build a Go Bag' was printed in the October Syracuse Magazine. 3. Duane Cheney will read the Christmas Tree Safety article written by Golden Barrett for the Syracuse Connection Magazine for November. 4. Select Topic for Syracuse Magazine article for February, 2022 (Lane) 5. Assignment: Topic for Syracuse Magazine article for March, 2022 (Dan) 6. Can Lisa & Jennifer accept an article assignment for 2022?
