BUSINESS MEETING 1) Welcome and Introduction of new Planning Commissioner, Sara VanRoosendaal. 2) Approval of the January 14, 2021 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes. (Motion/Voting) 3) Other Business Items. (As Needed) PUBLIC HEARING(S) Magna Metro Township is considering adopting the proposed 2021 Magna General Plan, which plans for the areas within Magna Metro Township. The 2021 General Plan is Magna's first comprehensive plan since incorporation as a metro township in 2017. The Plan synthesizes data and public feedback to describe current conditions, envision Magna's future, and guide Magna from present conditions toward that desired vision. This General Plan meets the required State laws for general planning, including elements on Land Use, Transportation, and Moderate-Income Housing. It also includes the following supplemental elements: Introduction & Overview; Planning Process; Catalyst Areas & Economic Stability; Parks, Trails, Recreation & Open Space; Natural Hazards; Community Services & Facilities; Sustainability; and Implementation & Work Plan. OAM2021-000220 - Magna Metro Township Planning Commission will consider a recommendation to the Magna Metro Township Council regarding amendments to Chapter 19.69 of the Magna Municipal Code, governing the 'P-C' or 'Planned Community' zone. The amendments intend to allow broader use of the P-C zone to allow Magna to take advantage of more diverse advanced planning activities in the development process. Planner: Travis Hair (Motion/Voting) The Planning Commission will act on the proposed public hearing items after taking comments from the public during the public hearing. Public comments will be provided pursuant to the planning commission's rules of conduct, which are attached to the back of this agenda. Public comments will be limited to three minutes per person.
