a. HVTED office is floating payments, and then is requesting reimbursement from county and cities

iv. T.R.T - Amount being disbursed from county is short by ~14K a month
1. Taking allocation, subtract wages & benefits, should be 44K per month, only receiving 30K per month

a. Tourism Indicators - Jessica
i. July TRT Up compared to 2019 by 5%!!!

1. Food and Travel magazine reached out with awesome rate, money to spend in lieu of Jana attending meetings - full page ad & story on the Heber Valley
2. Partnership with iHeartRadio/97.1 ZHT
a. Frankie from the morning show owns home in Timberlakes, he loves Heber Valley
b. Jess went on a show on September 29
i. Analytics from that day show huge spike when on air at 10:00
c. Frankie was talking about restaurants during a different show, wondering if restaurants up here served brunch, Jess texted and he confirmed on air where brunch was available.
d. Fox 13 always compliments us on how easy we are to work with
e. Focusing on shifting marketing out of state, but some of the instate partnerships we would lose and not get as good of returns on
4. Economic Recovery
a. CARES Act Recovery Plan Update - Dallin
i. 53 businesses applied for MAG grant/1.6 Million dollars in asks
ii. 974K in funds to give out
iii. 43 businesses were awarded funding
iv. Most businesses were funded at least 85% - 100% of asking
1. **Secondary conversation, wondering why Zermatt wasn't awarded/didn't apply for/didn't qualify for CARES grant - going to follow up about it
5. Board Reports (If Needed):
a. Rachel Kahler - Heber City Update
i. North Village Overlay Zone
1. Discussing in Council meeting on October 20 - Round 2 of discussions
2. Franco & Kahler met with planning - proposing an adjustment to zoning map to reduce the amount of density from the original proposal. Goal is to create a town center up by UVU campus - more density in donut shape around camps, neighborhood with open space
3. Reviewing cemetery master plan - buy a plot this year, prices will be increasing
b. Corbin Gordon - Update
i. Ongoing issue with Rocky Mountain Power - still pending with appellate court - possibility of getting that resolved is coming
c. Josh Wright - Chamber Update
i. Gala -Do we hold it? With the Governor's guideline changes, changes have to be made for gala to happen. Was going to be casino night, no entertainment yet. Each household will have to be seated feet apart, no business tables.
1. Rachel would like to see the chamber push to donate to the food bank or community foundation instead
2. Mark says yes - everyone wants an escape - find a way to do it!
d. Lisa Orme - Midway City Update
i. Wayfinding signs put to RFP and awarded - Mayor and Lisa meeting with next week
ii. Rachel questioned if Mountain Spa recipient of conservation grant money - tentative approval
1. Lisa's family is recipient, so she recuses - Corbin answers
a. Letter of intent to participate from Midway's open space bond
b. Proposal to have 5 larger lots to sell - Resort core will be around where old Mt. Spa area - Mt. Spa left to the city
e. Marilyn Crittenden - Wasatch County Update
i. Working on project with Christensen Farms to get a park - hope is a park in subdivision -
ii. Open space - county moving forward under strict guidelines - haven't heard a lot back yet
Rachel thanks county for approving Heber Light & Power land swap, - tourism hub on 600 W 100 S next Ec. Dev. Area in valley, HLP swap land with county for 5 acres in cowboy village for parking lot county is using - hopes board will move forward with the plan for new building. Hopes for a food truck alley.

h. Brittany Cozens - DWS - Not attending - only person in her office, attempting to hire someone, once she has help she will be able to attend meetings - is there an alternate that can come in her place?
