- La Verkin City Council Meeting Agenda Wednesday, April 15, 2020, 6:00 p.m. Council Chambers, 111 S. Main, La Verkin, Utah A. Meeting Called to Order: Invocation by Invitation; Pledge of Allegiance B. Consent Agenda: (Items on the consent agenda may not require discussion. These items will be a single motion unless removed at the request of the Mayor or City Council.) 1. Declarations of conflict of interest 2. Agenda 3. Minutes: March 4, 2020 and March 18, 2020 regular meeting 4. Review Checks and Invoices: $151,476.83 C. Committee Reports: Reports will be emailed D. Citizen Comment & Request for Future Agenda Items: No action may be taken on a matter raised under this agenda item. This item is reserved for the citizens of La Verkin who have items not listed on this agenda. There is a time limit of 20 minutes with each individual taking no more than 3 minutes. E. Business: 1. Discussion and possible action to approve Proclamation 2020-01; a proclamation designating April 24, 2020 as Arbor Day for the City of La Verkin. 2. Discussion and possible action to accept the 2020-2021 Tentative Budget and set the public hearing for May 20, 2020. 3. Discussion and possible action to approve the Right-Of-Entry Permit and Easement Agreement with the State of Utah through the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA) for the La Verkin Overlook Trailhead and parking area. 4. Discussion on allowing flood irrigation in Confluence Park. F. Mayor & Council Reports: Mayor Hirschi: Gubler: Public Safety, Recreation/City Festivals Wilson: Ash Creek Sewer District, Public Works, Water, La Verkin Hot Springs Wise: Planning Commission/Zoning, Beautification/Trails Committee, Economic Development/Tourism Justice: Washington County Solid Waste, Homeland Security/CERT, Confluence Park Hardy: Southwest Mosquito Abatement, Historical Preservation G. Adjourn: In compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) during this meeting should notify Christy Ballard, City Recorder, (435) 635-2581, at least 48 hours in advance.
