NOTICE OF COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights City Council will hold a Work Session at approximately 5:00 p.m., or soon thereafter, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, in the Cottonwood Heights City Council Work Room located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. 5:00 p.m. 1. Review of Business Meeting Agenda - Mayor Mike Peterson 2. Staff Reports (Each week the city council and staff provide informational reports as a method of keeping up on the day-to-day activities of the city. This agenda item is set aside to allow council members to ask questions or for staff to bring the council up to date of any changes since the report was made.) a. Adjourn City Council Work Session COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights City Council will hold a Business Meeting beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m., or soon thereafter, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in the Cottonwood Heights City Council Chambers located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. 7:00 p.m. 1.0 WELCOME/PLEDGE 2.0 PROCLAMATION 2.1 Consideration of Proclamation 2020-02 Honoring the 100th Anniversary of the League of Women Voters - Mayor Mike Peterson 3.0 CITIZEN COMMENTS (Please note: In order to be considerate of everyone attending the meeting public comments will typically be limited to three minutes per person per item. A spokesperson who has been asked by a group to summarize their concerns will be allowed five minutes to speak. Comments which cannot be made within these limits should be submitted in writing to the City Recorder prior to noon the day of the meeting.) 4.0 PUBLIC COMMENT 4.1 Zoning Map Amendment from R-1-8 to NC at 2540 E. Bengal Blvd. - Introduction by the Community and Economic Development Director, Michael Johnson 5.0 STANDING QUARTERLY REPORTS 5.1 Monthly Financial Report - Finance and Administrative Services Director Scott Jurges (Finance and Administrative Services Director, Mr. Scott Jurges, will report the city finances for the past quarter.) 5.2 Unified Fire Report - Battalion Chief Wade Watkins (Report by Battalion Chief Watkins on medical and fire calls responded by Cottonwood Heights- stations during the past quarter; as well as other informational items from UFA.) 6.0 ACTION ITEMS 6.1 Consideration of Ordinance 337 Granting a Master License Agreement to SQF, LLC (This ordinance will grant a master license agreement to SQF, LLC for a small cell telecommunications network as required by applicable federal law and theSmall Wireless Facilities Deployment Act,UTAH CODE ANN. 54-21-101 et seq.). 6.2 Consideration of Ordinance 338 Granting a Telecommunications System Franchise to SQF, LLC (This ordinance will grant a franchise to SQF, LLC to install a fiber-optic cable telecommunications system in the citys right-of-way, which will service the future small cell facilities authorized by SB 189 enacted by the Utah Legislature in 2018 and Ordinance 337 described above). 6.3 Consideration of Resolution 2020-02 Approving Appointments to the Arts Council (By this resolution, the council will approve the managers reappointment of Whitney Dodge, Elise Hogan and Katy Mitarai to the citys Arts Council). 7.0 CONSENT CALENDAR Approval of the City Council Meetings Minutes for December 17, 2019. Approval of the City Council Oath of Office Minutes of January 6, 2020. 8.0 ADJOURN CITY COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING On Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. a copy of the foregoing notices was posted in conspicuous view in the front foyer of the Cottonwood Heights City Offices, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. A copy of this notice was faxed to the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News, newspapers of general circulation in the City by the Office of the City Recorder. The Agendas were also posted on the Citys website at www.ch.utah.gov and the Utah Public Notice website at http://pmn.utah.gov DATED THIS 17th day of January 2020 Paula Melgar, City Recorder Council Members may participate in the meeting via telephonic communication. If a Council Member does participate via telephonic communication, the Councilmember will be on speakerphone. The speakerphone will be amplified so that the other Council Members and all other persons present in the Council Chambers will be able to hear all discussions.
