- The Utah County Elections Office has verified the ballots from the November 5, 2019 General Election with the following results: - 14,145 eligible registered voters. - 13,888 ballots were mailed and a total of 2,915 were counted for a 20.61% return rate. - 13 provisional ballots were issued and 12 were counted. The 1 provisional ballot not counted had incomplete information. - 69 ballots were not accepted due to a missing signature, signature not matching, invalid postmarks, or ballots returned from the last election. - 73 voters cast ballots, in person, on Election Day. The City Council, acting as the Board of Canvassers, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, will be asked to do the following by motion (see below for language for a possible motion): 1. Open the election returns and verify the results of the election. 2. Formally certify the election results, with any necessary corrections. 3. Declare: A. Four-year City Council candidates Colby Curtis, Jared Gray, and Carolyn Love elected. MOTION - I move that the Board of Canvassers: 1. Verify the results of the election by ratifying the results of the canvass. 2. Accept the report of the election and certify the election results. 3. Declare: A. Four-year City Council candidates Colby Curtis, Carolyn Love, and Jared Gray elected.
