PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. CITIZEN COMMENT Citizens are permitted to address the Council concerning any matter over which the Council has jurisdiction, including comments concerning an item on the agenda. The Council will allow 3 minutes to do so during this period. Written comments may be submitted if a citizen does not wish to speak. Any comments needing or requesting follow-up will be assigned to staff for further action as appropriate after the meeting. Please provide contact information on the sign-up sheet and state your name and phone number when speaking to the Council so later follow-up can take place. Persons who exceed the time or are otherwise disorderly may be expelled by the Council upon a two-thirds majority vote, as provided in Utah Code Annotated 10-3-608. The Council requires that citizens help maintain the decorum of the meeting by not applauding or booing, turning off electronic devices, not engaging in verbal attacks against others or being disrespectful during the proceedings of the meeting. 4. Approve Resolution 19-154, authorizing the Police Chief and City Manager to place unclaimed property no longer needed as evidence to a public interest or destroy (Ken Wallentine) b. Adopt Resolution 19-155, declaring items from the Police Department that are no longer of any value or use as surplus property and authorize the disposition (Ken Wallentine) c. Approve Resolution 19-156, authorizing the Mayor to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and the West Jordan Police Department (Ken Wallentine) d. Approve Resolution 19-157, authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment #1 to an interlocal agreement with the Jordan School District to include the addition of three School Resource Officers (Ken Wallentine) e. Adopt Resolution 19-158, awarding a contract to Turf Sprinkler Company and authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with Turf Sprinkler Company for the Calsense Central Irrigation Control System and Backflow Replacement project in an amount not to exceed $616,050.00. (Brian Clegg) f. Adopt Resolution 19-159, awarding a contract to Carrier Corporation and authorize the Mayor to execute a contract with Carrier Corporation for the Thomas M. Rees Justice Center Chiller Repair project in an amount not to exceed $68,524.00. (Brian Clegg) g. Adopt Resolution 19-160, authorizing the Mayor to award and execute a contract between the City and Smith Power Products for the monthly generator inspections and annual service for 6 generator units located at each water booster station. (Brian Clegg) h. Approve Resolution 19-161, authorizing the Mayor to execute a purchase agreement with Douglas A. and Rose S. Deem, trustees of the Deem Family Trust pertaining a parcel of property at 8251 South Derby Way (David Clemence) i. Approve Resolution 19-162, authorizing the Mayor to execute a purchase agreement with A.M.I. Associates for a parcel of land located at 7961 South 1300 West (David Clemence) 8. CONSENT ITEMS DISCUSSION a. Discussion and possible action regarding any Consent Item(s) pulled by City Council 9.
