PUBLIC NOTICE Gunnison City Council Vacancy Gunnison City currently has a vacancy on the Gunnison City Council due to the resignation of one of its members. The vacancy will be filled at a Gunnison City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, July 29, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at the Gunnison City Hall by appointment of the City Council and in accordance with state law (UCA 20A-1-510). This position will be a 2 year 5 month term only, and will be up for election in the 2021 Gunnison City Municipal Election. Those who wish to be considered for this City Council position are encouraged to submit their name for consideration to JoAnn Taylor, City Treasurer or Janell Braithwaite, City Recorder. Names must be submitted to the Gunnison City Hall by Friday, July 26, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANDIDATE ARE: (UCA 10-3-301; 20A-9-203) 1. Be a United States Citizen 2. Be a registered voter of the municipality, 3. Be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election 4.
