www.sgartmuseum.com, museum@sgcity.org 47 East 200 North, St. George, Utah 84770 Phone: 435.627.4525 Fax: 435.627.4526 St. George Art Museum Advisory Board AGENDA May 15, at 8:00am at the St. George Art Museum Next meeting is on June 19, 2019, at 8am Officers are: Steve Brough, Chair; Vice-Chair; Twila Abrams CALL TO ORDER: Steve Brough MINUTES Approval of the minutes from April 17 REPORTS: No Arts Commission report NEW BUSINESS: Need sponsors for the Home Tour event on September 27th & 28th from $250 to a million. Tickets to the event will be $65 again with lunch at the Painted Pony. Deb has contacted Lois Kraus at Entrada and Kathy Moore of Kayenta for help with possible homes. Halloween: Would the board be interested in having snacks, cocoa or other for purchase in the Social Hall? We are doing our Haunted Museum on October 28th, 29th, & 30th. Deb is working with Jeff Yule at DSU again on a Halloween art exhibit for the month of October in the Legacy Gallery. This year's Fashion Show theme is 'Inspired by Art', and event will be November 16th at 1pm. OLD BUSINESS: Home Tour from last meeting: Again, we need 3 homes and one is secured, Rabbi Ainbinder's home in Entrada by Kam. Glenn & Kathy Ravenberg? OTHER: Need a couple new board members (Deb prepared a sheet that may help with tasks involved etc.) MUSEUM REPORT MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the St. George Art Museum is to educate all visitors through quality exhibitions from all periods, cultures, and media, as well as to collect, conserve, inventory, exhibit and interpret art and artifacts from Utah and the West.
