6. A public hearing on an ordinance amending section 9.14.300 to allow organized fighting contests in Provo City if approved by, and in compliance with, the Utah Athletic Commission regulations. (14-023)
Mayor's Items and Reports
7. A resolution annexing approximately 18.3 square miles of real property generally located north of 2000 North and west of Carterville Road and commonly referred to as the City of Orem, Utah.
8. A resolution reappointing Bob Conner as Provo City Constable to serve a four-year term. (14-026)
9. A resolution consenting to the appointment of individuals to various boards and commissions. (14-021)
10. A parameters resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of up to $2.7 million of cemetery revenue bonds of the City of Provo, Utah, and related matters for the purpose of informing the public regarding the terms of the bond to be finalized on May 6, 2014. (14-016)
11. A public hearing on a resolution regarding reprogramming of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from activities funded in previous fiscal years to new CDBG eligible activities in the current fiscal year and amending the Five-Year Consolidated Plan and the 2013-14 Action Plan update accordingly. A public hearing on an appropriation of $25,000 in the Municipal Council of the General Fund for professional services related to contracting with a third-party engineering firm to develop an independent second opinion of an optimal bus rapid transit route for Provo City based on Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) funding criteria, including an evaluation of ridership estimates based on a current model and on current conditions and applying to the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2014. The Work Session meeting start times is to be determined and will be noticed at least 24 hours prior to the meeting time, but typically begins between 1:00 and 4:00pm.
