Benchland Water District 485 E Shepard Lane Kaysville, UT 84037 (801) 451-2105 | benchlandwater.com PRE-ELECTION PUBLIC MEETING Time: 4:30 P.M., Tuesday, October 20th, 2026 Place: Benchland Water District, 485 E Shepard Lane, Kaysville, UT 84037 AGENDA Notice is hereby given that Benchland Water District will hold a pre-election public meeting at the time and place listed above. The District intends to make the statements listed in Items II through V pursuant to Utah Code § 59-2-919(3)(a)(i) and (ii). I. Minutes of October 15th, 2026 Trustee Meeting Brad Bornemeier II. Statement of Intent to Exceed the Certified Tax Rate Benchland Water District will state that it intends to levy a property tax rate exceeding its certified tax rate for calendar year 2027. Brad Bornemeier III. Statement of Additional Property Tax Revenue The District will state that the proposed increase would generate $65,000 in additional ad valorem property tax revenue. Brad Bornemeier IV. Purpose of Additional Property Tax Revenue The District will state that the additional revenue would be used to address rising costs for parts, materials, maintenance, and operations, as well as increased costs of water purchased from Weber Basin. Brad Bornemeier V. Percentage Increase in Ad Valorem Tax Revenue The District will state: The proposed increase would raise Benchland Water District's ad valorem tax revenue by approximately 7.70%.
