NOTICE OF ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that the Parowan City Council at its regular meeting of September 24, 2026, passed the following ordinance:
1. Ordinance No. 2026-09: An Ordinance Vacating a Portion of the Original Main Street Right-of-Way and Authorizing Recordation of the Vacation Pursuant to Utah Code ยง10-20-813.
A portion of the originally dedicated Main Street right-of-way within Parowan City has never been constructed in its recorded location and public travel has historically occurred along a different alignment. The City has determined that the existing recorded right-of-way no longer reflects existing conditions and that a coordinated project has been developed to realign property boundaries, dedicate a public roadway consistent with the existing roadway alignment, and exchange certain property interests for the benefit of the public.
A copy of said ordinances is attached below and may also be viewed at the office of the Parowan City Recorder, 35 E 100 N, Parowan, Utah.
