Notice is hereby given that the Town of Laketown Town Council will hold a public hearing at 6:00PM on Wednesday August 12, 2026, in the Laketown Town Office located at 10 North 200 East Laketown, Utah. Following the public hearing the council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting
1. CALL TO ORDER - Mayor BRANDON WILLIS
2. OPENING CEREMONY - TBD
3. ROLL CALL
4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
5. PUBLIC HEARING: The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment regarding a proposed amendment to the Laketown Town Land Use Ordinance that would allow the creation of 1/2 acre residential lots in designated areas outside the tradition town core.

The Town Council will not begin discussion on the following agenda items before 6:30 PM
12. QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL:
Any person wishing to comment on any item, not otherwise on the agenda, may address the town council at this point by addressing the mayor and town council and giving his or her name and address for the record. Comments should be limited to not more than three (3) minutes, unless additional time is authorized by the mayor. Citizen groups will be asked to appoint a spokesperson. This is the time and place for any person who wishes to comment on non-agenda items. Some items brought forward to the attention of the town council will be turned over to the clerk to provide a response outside of the town council meeting.

a. (7:00 PM) Emma Nielson Utah Geospatial Resource Center (UGRC) - creating an interactive zoning map for Laketown
b. (7:30 PM) Scott Archibald - Sunrise Engineering - Discussion on 2nd source water protection
c. 2027 TRT Grant
d. Discussion and possible approval of Centra Com Fiber to the office and park
e. Discussion on lot sizes
f. Discussion and possible approval of Ordinance 2026-04 Amending the Consolidated Fee Schedule to include a fee in lieu of dedication of required water shares and/or water rights.
g. Discussion and possible adoption of ordinance establishing delegation of spending and purchasing approval authority for town council members.

A copy was posted in conspicuous view inside and outside the Laketown Town Office in Laketown, Utah, and inside of the Laketown post office and at Dee's Service Station.
