4. BOARD WRITTEN UPDATES (Review and ask questions as needed in Board Comments)
a) Henefer Civic Center Public Art & Pianos Update
Barrus Pianos tuned the county collection last week. The RFP for the Newpark Piano (theme is Swaner Nature) and Henefer Piano (theme is History and Honor in Henefer. This theme includes the profound relationship with Chief Washakie, its pioneer spirit and ranching community, and the patriotic spirit of the 4th of July celebration). The RFP is drafted. As soon as we receive confirmation of a donated piano from Barus, we will work to have the RFP reviewed and release the RFP (artwork is $1,000/piano). In July, we received the $500 grant for Piano performances from Sunrise Rotary.
b) Quilted Together Project
Waiting to confirm when the signage for the artwork will be installed. The signage will be placed directly adjacent to the artwork.
c) Peak Building Project
The County Manager supported the boards direction to focus on the Main Lobby regarding public art at the Peak Building. We have received some additional updates about this project from the architects and the County regarding funding and will discuss it later in the agenda items. (See agenda items below)
d) Pedestrian Bridge Project
Refer to April minutes for previous discussions. Carl and other County representatives will follow up with next steps in September.
e) Summit County Fair Volunteer Opportunities
The Summit County Fair will be held August 1 to 8. We will let the board know which artwork was selected by the board sub committee (Megan, Bob and Glen) and County Council at the September meeting.
f) Silver Summit Services Building Benches Update
The RFP was rewritten with the changes the board requested and is being reviewed by the County procurement manager. As soon as I receive edits back from the County, we will send the RFP to the board as requested and post the RFP.

a) Daniel, Jocelyn and Jenny will provide budget and grant updates to the board. Summit County Budgets were due this week and we will provide an update on FY27 requests.
8. Art on Loan/Purchase Proposal (20 minutes) -Jenny Diersen
a) Per the Public Art Policies, review a proposal for art on loan and request to potentially purchase the artwork for a roundabout. Please review attachment.
9. PEAK Building Artwork Placement Discussion (20 minutes) - Jenny Diersen
a) Discuss new information about the site for artwork at the Peak Building to inform RFP.
