NOTICE OF A REGULAR LIBRARY BOARD MEETING July 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM ________________ PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Vineyard Library Board will hold a regularly scheduled Library Board meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 125 South Main Street, Vineyard, UT. AGENDA [PRESIDING: CHAIR CHRISTIE JEFFS] 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. CONSENT ITEMS 2.1. Approval of May 19, 2026, Library Board Meeting Minutes 3. BUSINESS ITEMS 3.1. Election of Library Board Officers Elect the Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary for the upcoming term. 4. REVIEW OF UPCOMING EVENTS AND ASSIGNMENTS 5. STAFF AND COMMISSION REPORTS 5.1. Library Report Receive updates from the Library Coordinator regarding library operations, services, projects, and future initiatives. Programming & Services - Summer Reading Program update - Story Time update - Adult Book Club update - Teen Book Club update - Youth (5th-6th) Grade Book Club update - Community Art Program instructor recruitment Staffing & Operations - Library Aide positions - August library hours update - Operational impact of additional staffing Library System & Collections - Koha/Aspen migration update (Go-Live: July 29, 2026) - Spine labeling project update - Collection update Communications & Outreach - Social media update - logo implementation update - Discussion of board assistance with social media and outreach Facilities - Review of possible library expansion locations and associated costs 5.2. Friends of the Library Report Receive an update from the Friends of the Library, if available. 6. WORK SESSION 6.1. Strategic Planning Discuss long-term priorities and future initiatives for the Vineyard Library. Discussion Topics: - Community engagement initiatives o Library logo updates o Social media giveaway o Puzzle exchange o Suggestion box o Additional community outreach ideas - Future collection priorities o Expand the Young Adult Collection o Continue updating the Children's Collection - Community Programming o Recruiting community members interested in teaching classes - Friends of the Library o Future fundraising priorities o Potential grant opportunities for library programming - Library Board o Recruitment of an additional board member 7. ADJOURNMENT The next meeting is on August 18, 2026. This meeting may be held in a way that will allow a board member to participate electronically. The public is invited to participate in all public meetings.
