4. BOARD WRITTEN UPDATES (Review and ask questions as needed in Board Comments)
a) Henefer Civic Center Public Art & Pianos Update
Jocelyn wrote a RAP Tax Grant for $3,750 for Art Pianos. We received $1,500 in funding for this project. We are working with Thea to write an additional Art Pianos grant with Sunrise Rotary for some additional funding and will follow up when we hear back about that grant, which we received $500. Jenny is working to draft this RFP and following up with partners in Henefer and Newpark for thematic ideas which will come to the board for finalization. Annual maintenance/piano tuning for all pianos in the collection will occur by the end of the month. The Basin Recreation Piano has been moved to Create PC because they needed it moved before summer camps started and this was the best quick option to get the issue resolved.
b) Signage for Roundabout Sculptures
All permitting has been completed for signs, and signs have been fabricated and installed. This project is officially complete! See attached map of where signs are located.
c) Quilted Together Project
This project has been completed, and we had a great turn out at the ribbon cutting. The signage for this project has been approved and should be installed in the next month. Signage will be placed directly adjacent to the artwork. RAP Tax Grant report was also submitted and completed.
d) Peak Building Project
The County Manager supported the boards direction to focus on the Main Lobby regarding public art at the Peak Building. We included that in order to maximize creativity, we wanted the artist who submit designs to be allowed to encompass the whole space, rather than dictating if we need a mural, hanging sculpture or other specific artworks. We will begin drafting a timeline and RFP for this project and follow up with the board before releasing the RFP.
e) Pedestrian Bridge Project
Refer to April minutes for previous discussions. Carl and other County representatives will follow up with next steps in September.
f) Summit County Fair Volunteer Opportunities
The Summit County Fair will be held August 1 to 8. We 2 need volunteers to recommend artworks to the County Council for purchasing for the County Collection on Friday, August 7 from 10 to 11 a.m.

8. Silver Summit Artful Benches Procurement Discussion (45 minutes) - Jocelyn Scudder & Jenny Diersen
a) Jocelyn & Jenny will provide a high-level overview of the project location and rfp and present the boards average scores of the submissions.
b) Board will review the scoring and make a recommendation to select an artist for this project.
