NOTICE is hereby given that the WASATCH COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION will hold a Public Hearing on June 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Lower Conference Room of the Wasatch County Administration Building, located at 25 North Main Street, Heber City, to consider the below listed items; and that the WASATCH COUNTY COUNCIL will hold a Public Hearing on June 17, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Wasatch County Senior Citizens Center, located at 465 East 1200 South, Heber City, to consider the below listed items advanced to the County Council by the Planning Commission*. Regular Agenda: All matters listed on the regular agenda will be presented and heard individually by the Planning Commission. 1. Code amendment to 16.21.17(B, 3) regarding residential Facilities for persons with disabilities amending language requiring a contract with the Department of Human Services (DHS) and amending section 16.04 of the code by updating the definition for 'handicapped person'. *If forwarded, the recommendation by the Planning Commission on this item will be considered by the County Council as the Legislative Body, at a Public Hearing on June 17, 2026. (Doug Smith) 2. Josh Call, representing Denny Seremet, requests a Code Text Amendment to Section 16.27.22.E.10.b of the Wasatch County Code to remove a viewing platform from the water near the middle of the north arm of Jordanelle Reservoir. *If forwarded, the recommendation by the Planning Commission on this item will be considered by the County Council as the Legislative Body, at a Public Hearing on June 17, 2026. (TextAm-26-001) 3. Paul Berg, representative for Cascade Development LLC. is requesting plat amendment approval for the Glades and the Junipers at Canyon Meadows both recorded as condominium plats. The proposal is to amend the plats and change the units from condominiums to townhouse units but maintain the same density and general layout. The proposal is located at Meadow Drive and Highway 189 in the Provo Canyon west of the dam in Section 7, Township 5 South, Range 4 East and Section 12, Township 5 South, Range 3 East. The property is in the P-160 (preservation 160-acre) zoning district. This proposal was approved by the Wasatch County Council on December 15, 2021. A plat was not recorded in the time frame required by code and therefore expired. *If forwarded, the recommendation by the Planning Commission on this item will be considered by the County Council as the Land Use Authority, at a Public Hearing on June 17, 2026. (PlatAm-26-007 and PlatAm-26-008) 4. Discussion and recommendation for policy direction regarding public comments received during the review period of the draft General Plan. *If forwarded, the recommendation by the Planning Commission on this item will be considered by the County Council as the Legislative Body, at a Public Hearing on June 17, 2026. (Austin Corry) All interested persons are invited to attend. A work meeting will be held in the Lower Conference Room at 5:30 p.m. prior to the regular Planning Commission meeting. This work meeting is for discussion purposes only. The public is welcome to attend, however formal presentation of items, public comment and actions will be reserved for the public hearing at 6:00 p.m. For information, please call the Planning Department at 435-657-3205 *County Council Public Hearings will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the date specified.
