VINEYARD CARES APRIL COALITION MEETING AGENDA Thursday, April 16, 2026 Time: 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM Location: UVHBA Building - Room 201 Presiding: David Pearce, Commission Chair Facilitated by: Melissa Ghandour, Vineyard Cares Coordinator ________________________________________ Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to: - Identify potential key leaders, coalition members, and volunteers to invite - Understand upcoming events and where support is needed - Make at least one personal connection or outreach commitment 1. Welcome and Introductions Brief welcome, introductions, and icebreaker 2. Volunteer Appreciation Moment Recognition of coalition members and volunteers for National Volunteer Appreciation Month 3. Resource & Partner Spotlight Kena Matthews - Community Action Services & Food Bank Overview of services, community programs, partnerships, and opportunities for collaboration. 4. Teen Mental Health & Prevention Night - Recap Highlights and key takeaways 5. Upcoming Events Outreach & Volunteer Needs Discussion April 25 - Drug Take Back Day April 27 - Standout Film Screening with Q & A May 4 - Key Leader Dinner May 15 - Day with a Deputy June 5 - Community Block/Park Party 6. Recruitment Activity & Discussion Continue building our volunteer base, coalition membership, and key leader connections Identify potential individuals and discuss outreach opportunities 7. Open Discussion Additional ideas or updates 8. Adjourn _______________________________________ ________________________________________ VINEYARD CARES VINEYARD DAYS PLANNING MEETING AGENDA Thursday, April 16, 2026 Time: ~7:15 PM - 8:15 PM (Immediately Following Coalition Meeting) Location: UVHBA Building - Room 201 Chair/Commission Representative: David Pearce, Vineyard Cares Commission Chair Facilitated by: Melissa Ghandour, Vineyard Cares Coordinator ________________________________________ Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to: - Provide input on key elements of the Community Block/Park Party plan - Help confirm direction for activities, vendors, and event components - Identify next steps and responsibilities to move planning forward 1. Overview Event timing and overall goals Estimated attendance range and planning assumptions Confirm event name and alignment within Vineyard Days 2. Activities & Vendors Carnival games and vendor options Confirm direction 3. Food, Prizes & Swag Food quantities and general plan Prizes and branded items Identify any donation or sponsorship opportunities Confirm comfort level and adjustments 4. Volunteers (including parade and/or booth coordination) Volunteer needs and coverage Discussion on Parade and Park Booth participation Identify leads and group connections 5. Logistics & Flow Layout, equipment, signage, and general flow Identify any concerns or gaps 6. Direction to Proceed Confirm overall direction on vendors, volunteer outreach, and food and supply planning Clarify any items needing board input 7.
