Job Description - Hatch Town Water Master
Monthly:
Read & Submit water meter numbers
Water samples submitted as required by state health laws
Well production reports to town council
Water system inspection of storage tank, both wells, chlorine building - report to town council
Log in cross connection reports
Generator inspections & maintenance
Daily or as needed:
Repair & maintenance of water system
Well logs
Chlorine checks
Town hall main computer and SCADA system
Respond to customer service calls
Respond to Blue Stakes calls
Repair & maintain electrical equipment
Maintain properties of wells, tanks, etc. (fencing, weed control, locks, lighting, buildings, exhaust fans)
Yearly:
Flush fire hydrants
Emergency preparedness plan
Consumer confidence report
Attend training seminars for CEU credits to maintain class 2 operator license
Cross connection report - update community education material
Inventory of water system parts
Budget & expansion assessment proposals to town council
Water users report to State
Source protection plan update
