PUBLIC HEARING: The Planning Commission of West Haven City, Utah will hold a Public Hearing on the 14TH Day of January, 2025 in the Commission Chambers at 4150 South 3900 West, West Haven, Utah at the hour of 6:00 PM or as soon thereafter as possible, to consider change Title XV Land Usage, Including Chapter 157.004 Definitions, Chapter 157.294 Uses, Chapter 157.331 Permitted Uses, the Repeal Of 157.335 Storage Unit Restrictions, the repeal of 157.355 Storage Unit Restrictions, and the Creation Of Chapter 157.619 Self-Storage Facility Restrictions. Summary of proposed changes:
- Adding new definitions for Open Self-Storage, Self-Storage Facility, and Storage Unit.
- Adding Self-Storage Facility as a listed permitted use within the M-1 and, by reference, the M-2 zones.
- Removed Storage Unit Restriction sections from the M-1 and M-2 standards and created a Self-Storage Facility Restrictions to the Supplementary and Qualifying Regulations Section of the code
- Updated standards for Storage Unit Facilities, including decreasing setbacks from corridors while adding a setback from other public roadways, updating perimeter wall standards, updating building façade standards, defining Open Self-Storage and adding it as an allowed use within a Self-Storage Facility, and removing Self-Storage Facilities as an allowed use within Mixed-Use Zones.
