- NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CLOSE TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC THE UNPAVED PORTION OF THE 11200 NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY Pursuant to Utah Code ยง 72-5-105(7), Highland City is proposing to adopt an ordinance to indefinitely close a portion of the dedicated 11200 North right-of-way as it is not necessary for vehicular travel. Highland City is proposing to convert this portion of the dedicated 11200 North right-of-way to public trail uses and other similar public, non-vehicular, active transportation purposes. This closure will prohibit future vehicular travel and access along this portion of 11200 North. This closure will not affect or relinquish the City's ownership of the property nor the rights of any property owner or any utility. A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON THIS MATTER DURING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON JANUARY 20, 2026, 6:00 PM. See attached notice document for additional information.
