NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CLOSE TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC THE UNPAVED PORTION OF THE 11200 NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY
Pursuant to Utah Code ยง 72-5-105(7), Highland City is proposing to adopt an ordinance to indefinitely close a portion of the dedicated 11200 North right-of-way as it is not necessary for vehicular travel. Highland City is proposing to convert this portion of the dedicated 11200 North right-of-way to public trail uses and other similar public, non-vehicular, active transportation purposes.
This closure will prohibit future vehicular travel and access along this portion of 11200 North. This closure will not affect or relinquish the City's ownership of the property nor the rights of any property owner or any utility.
A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON THIS MATTER DURING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON JANUARY 20, 2026, 6:00 PM.
NOTICE OF HIGHLAND CITY INTENT TO REVIEW AND ADOPT A COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT/REVISION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE AMENDMENT/REVISION
The Highland Planning Commission, on October 28, 2025, made a recommendation to the Highland City Council regarding a comprehensive general plan amendment that will replace and supersede the City's current general plan. The amended plan will affect all areas within the municipal boundaries of Highland City and those areas of unincorporated Utah County designated for potential annexation within Highland City's annexation policy plan.
PUBLIC HEARING AND ADOPTION: The City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the comprehensive general plan amendment and potentially adopt the amendment, which will replace and supersede the City's current general plan, during the public meeting on January 20, 2026, which begins at 6:00 PM, held in the Highland City Council Chambers, 5400 West Civic Center Dr., Highland, UT
