Syracuse, UT 84075 Welcome: Mr. Scott Bohn Call to Order: Mr. Scott Bohn 7:05 pm Prayer: Chris Larson Pledge of Allegiance Review Meeting Minutes: Mr. Micah Redmond Welcome Guests/Visitors: None Committee Business: 1) Discussion on 2026 Emergency Preparedness Fair vs Great Shake Out Exercise a. The committee voted unanimously to participate in the Great Shake Out Exercise for 2026. i. April 18, 2026 start time 08:00 close exercise 10:15, Last call, EOC 10:30 for debrief ii. Objectives: Assessment (Red, green) hanger from DC emergency manager (Dan Merkling) iii. Participation Rate (Red, yellow, green): Target areas of participation. (2-3 weeks before). iv. Morning of Exercise: Distribute a flyer on the door, Everbridge flyer QR code for Everbridge v. Create an instruction sheet for the initial pass-out of the door hanger. vi. Jordan Savage will coordinate city council report date business meeting for May 2026 b. 2027 the committee will focus on a preparedness fair and not participate in the Great Shake Out Exercise. i. More discussion is needed regarding event planning, vendors, and locations c. 2028 Real Exercise i. Centerville Shake Rattle and Roll model discussed ii. The South Davis Safety Fair has been moved to May. iii. Fair year deliver fair flyer and update maps iv. Vendors and Presenters d. Radio Frequency Update required to avoid issues going forward e. Merklin Recommendation to propose a Full-Time City Emergency Manager through a formal letter to the City Council. 4 to 1 vote to proceed with the recommendation. There are no full-time positions available in any city within the area today. f.
