Public Bid for KID Water Supply Repair and Resiliency Project (Sam's Blvd) Project 25-02
Sealed bids for the construction of the KID for Water Supply Repair and Resiliency Project 25-02 for the Kearns Improvement District, will be received until 10:00 AM local time on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Kearns Improvement District office (5350 W 5400 S, Kearns, UT 84118), at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work shall be completed under one Contract and consists of all labor, equipment and materials required to properly construct the Project. The Project generally consists of the following primary components: Installation of 2,240 feet of 12-inch PVC C-900 Water Line along Sam's Boulevard from 4320 West to 4015 West, 690 lineal feet of 8-inch PVC C900 for various connections along the extent of the water line as shown in the Project Drawings, nine (9) fire hydrant assemblies, and other appurtenances.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for all prospective Bidders at the Kearns Improvement District office (5350 W 5400 S, Kearns, UT 84118), on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM, at which time the Owner's Representative, Bidders, and Subcontractors will discuss the project. Bidders are required to attend the pre-bid conference.
BIDDING REQUIREMENTS: Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Utah, payable to the Kearns Improvement District, in a sum equal to five (5) percent of the full amount of the Bid. This is to serve as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a Contract within 15 days of Notice of Award in accordance with the terms of the principal's Bond and a contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board for the performances of such Work. Only Bids that are accompanied by such a Bond will be considered. Bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the Bid. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and license.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of Bids shall be directed to the Engineer, James 'Woody' Woodruff for the project.
