MILLCREEK PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice of Vacancy and Appointment as Millcreek Mayor
Pursuant to Utah Code ยง 20A-1-510, Millcreek hereby gives notice of a vacancy of the Millcreek Mayor due to a midterm resignation. The remaining term will be from November 10, 2025 until the next mayor is sworn in (early January 2028) following the election in 2027.
Individuals interested in being considered for appointment must meet the qualifications for office and submit their application for consideration. Applicants must:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a registered voter of Millcreek.
- Be a resident of Millcreek for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the appointment date of November 10, 2025.
The application (can be found online, https://www.millcreekut.gov/161/Elections) includes:
- Declaration of Candidacy Form
- Resume (not to exceed 2 pages)
- Letter of Intent Describing Why You Want to Be Mayor (not to exceed 1 page)
- Completed Questionnaire
- Conflict of Interest Form
- $50 Filing Fee
All applications must be received in person by the Recorder's Office between September 30, 2025, and October 14, 2025, during regular business hours (8am-5pm) at Millcreek City Hall, 1330 E Chambers Avenue, Millcreek, UT 84106.
The Millcreek City Council will interview candidates and select the appointee during a public meeting to be held the evening of Monday, November 3, 2025, at a time yet to be determined at Millcreek City Hall, 1330 E Chambers Avenue, Millcreek, UT 84106.
Millcreek will fill the vacancy by administering the oath of office at a public meeting to be held Monday, November 10, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Millcreek City Hall, 1330 E Chambers Avenue, Millcreek, UT 84106.
