The reevaluation of the I-15 South EA and the I-15 St. George Improved EA is being completed to incorporate the addition of the new overpasses and local connections at 400 East and 900 South that were not part of the original environmental documents.
The reevaluation process began in fall 2024 and is scheduled for completion by summer 2025, with construction of the project planned to begin in summer 2026. Environmental documents are process-driven, so the schedule is approximate and subject to change.
A new I-15 interchange at 700 South will not be constructed as part of this project.
The project will:
Widen I-15 from two to three lanes between Bluff Street (Exit 6) and St. George Blvd. (Exit 8)
Replace structures and raise I-15 at 100 South and 700 South
Construct new structures over 400 East and 900 South to establish local street connections under I-15
Coordinate the realignment of several utilities and the installation of new utilities
Improve various drainage facilities along and under I-15
