Discussion on the Jordan Alternative Middle School Program which was eliminated as part of the
budget cuts in 2010.
2. Review of Utah Consolidated Application for 2011-12

Review of the Jordan School District Utah Consolidated Plan for 2011-12 as required by the Utah State Office of Education.
3. Policy Governance Review

differentiation between governance and management responsibilities in Jordan School District.

Auxiliary Services and other appointments necessary to fill vacant positions.

Possible action to approve administrators’ compensation for the current school year. The contract
for administrators is not negotiated.

C. Recommendation to Adopt New Policy AS97 Management of Concussions and Traumatic Head Injuries
Dr. Anthony Godfrey, Administrator of Schools
Discussion and possible action on adopting a new Jordan School District policy AS97 Management
of Concussions and Traumatic Head Injuries which establishes policy and guidelines for school
staff to respond to concussions and traumatic head injuries that may occur during sports events,
physical education or other physical activities. Policy is in compliance with HB204 S 1 Protection
of Athletes with Head Injuries.

The Board will take public comment on new policy AS97 Management of Concussions and Traumatic Head Injuries in accordance with policy A8 Public Participation at School Board Meetings.

D. Recommendation to Adopt New Policy BP179 Advertising on School Buses

Update on the Jordan Education Foundation whose mission is to promote excellence in
education in Jordan School District by generating and guiding philanthropic resources.

Mr. Clyde Mason, Director, Accountability and Program Services
Information regarding the USOE website which provides information allowing the public to compare schools’ performance on state exams and get demographic profiles of schools. It also provides ranking of schools statewide based on language arts or math.
