Monthly Subcommittee Check-in Reports
1. Conduct subcommittee monthly check-in reports from subcommittee heads:
Preservation
(Chris Schow) 1. Get an update on the Old Town Hall restoration.
- Laurel submitted SHPO's 2021 grant application on February 8. Alena Franco replied that it was accepted. Award notifications are on March 15, official award is April 1, and work should be completed by August 31, 2022.
- Update on funding results from Budget Retreat held February 18? (Todd)
Archives
(Karen Harbold) 1. Review who is attending an upcoming training opportunity: 'Archive Basics' (hosted by USHRAB): March 10 at 1 PM; or March 18 at 1 PM.
2. Next inventory session is Wednesday, March 10 (4:30 PM). Due to the size of the room and social distancing needs, only 2-3 should attend.
History & Publications
(Laurel Cunningham) Should we be writing a 100th Anniversary Strawberry Days book (small print run, also digital download)? Is the SD Committee already doing this? (Sheri was going to attend their planning meeting and find out. Can they allocate money to us to do that project?)
Community Outreach (Denise Trickler) 1. Update on our Facebook event?
2. Do we want a presence at Strawberry Days? If yes, who will volunteer to head this up?
- Display of '100 Years of Strawberry Days' in the Old Town Hall (signage, pictures, etc.)
- Guided tours of the Rose Garden with our walking tour book.
- Sell items (city history books, walking tour books, SD history book, art prints, bookmarks, etc.)?

1. Hillary Stirling gave her official resignation from the Historic Preservation Commission.
2. Report back from the January Pleasant Grove Arts Commission meeting (Laurel).
