Description/Agenda: | PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE PAYSON CITY AND SALEM CITY BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT On June 19, 2019, the Payson City Council passed Resolution No. 06-19-2019-I approving Payson City's intent to adjust the common municipal boundary with Salem City. The proposed areas for adjustment are as follows: The property to be removed from Salem City and incorporated into Payson City is described as follows: A portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 9 South, Range 2 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point located N89°45'44'E along the section line 1225.45 feet and South 1675.85 feet from the Northwest Corner of Section 3, Township 9 South, Range 2 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian (Basis of Bearing: S0°28'54'E between the Northwest Corner and the West Quarter Corner of Section 3); thence southeasterly along the arc of a 383.00 foot radius non-tangent curve to the left (radius bears: N50°20'55'E) 44.59 feet through a central angle of 6°40'13' (chord: S42°59'11'E 44.56 feet); thence S46°19'18'E 264.06 feet to the existing Salem City Boundary; thence S43°14'18'W along said line 251.90 feet to the existing Payson City Boundary; thence N6°58'55'W along said line 401.45 feet to the point of beginning. Contains: (+/-)0.88 Acres The property to be removed from Payson City and incorporated into Salem City is described as follows: A portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 9 South, Range 2 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point located N89°45'44'E along the section line 957.51 feet from the Northwest Corner of Section 3, Township 9 South, Range 2 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian (Basis of Bearing: S0°28'54'E between the Northwest Corner and the West Quarter Corner of Section 3); thence N89°45'44'E along the section line 62.82 feet; thence S6°58'55'E along the existing Salem City Boundary 1687.52 feet; thence northwesterly along the arc of a 383.00 foot radius non-tangent curve to the right (radius bears: N50°20'55'E) 217.92 feet through a central angle of 32°36'01' (chord: N23°21'04'W 214.99 feet); thence N7°03'03'W 1488.62 feet to the point of beginning. Contains: (+/-)2.29 Acres The Payson City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 439 W. Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah to receive public comment. The Payson City Council will adjust the municipal boundary according to the above-described parcels unless, at or before the public hearing, a written protest to the adjustments is filed by the owner of private real property located within the areas proposed for adjustment covering at least 25% of the total private land area within the areas proposed for adjustment and is equal in value to at least 15% of the value of all private real property within the areas proposed for adjustment.
