Professional Services Contractor Cedar Mountain Fire Protection District (CMFPD) Workshop Questions
 February 7 - 8, 2019

The CMFPD Board of Directors requests Professional Services contractors be prepared to address the following questions at the February 7, 2019, Workshop based on a preliminary review of the submitted Qualification Documents. Other questions likely will be asked at the meeting based on further review of the Qualification Documents.
 1. What are your thoughts on using the design of an existing fire station for Swains Creek's Fire Substation? Would this reduce the project's cost and schedule? If this is a reasonable option, what fire station or other structure you have designed would most closely meet the Scope of Work requirements?

2. What can be done so that the Substation can be designed to allow future expansion without impacting its use and at a reduced cost?

3. Please address the tasks and products that must be accomplished prior to start of construction.

4. What is your strategy to seek funding for the project?

5. What would be the advantages and drawbacks from your perspective if the Modernization and Substation efforts were awarded to two different contractors?
