In compliance with Utah State Law, Lindon City is disclosing proposed transfer of enterprise funds to the General Fund as part of the Fiscal Year 2019 budget (July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019). These transfers are primarily intended to cover administrative costs and overhead of operating the enterprise funds but will also be used in supplementing such city services as fire, police, street maintenance, parks & recreation, and other city functions. Similar transfers have been made annually from the enterprise funds to the General Fund in order to help maintain low property taxes in Lindon. Estimated amounts to be transferred from enterprise funds to the General Fund are as follows: Water Fund $256,850 (8.7% of fund expenditures); Sewer Fund $195,250 (9.4% of fund expenditures); Solid Waste Collection Fund $17,940 (4.0% of fund expenditures); Storm Water Drainage Fund $96,360 (9.9% of fund expenditures); and Telecommunications Fund $2,700 (5.0% of fund expenditures). A public hearing to receive comment on the proposed enterprise fund transfers will be held on May 15, 2018 at 7:00pm at the Lindon City Center, 100 N. State Street, Lindon, UT 84042. A separate public hearing at the same time and location will occur to receive public comment on the FY2019 proposed budget, with another public hearing held prior to adopting the FY2019 final budget held at the same location at 7:00pm on June 19, 2018.
