Big Water Town Council
Meeting Minutes 
January 17, 2017
Work Session-council discussed the general plan and Tony had questions about the mention of infrastructure. Tony asked about the Gateway act and if the town can get any funding for projects with that act. The job description for a Planning and zoning administrator and the salary was discussed. Keith informed the council of the problems with cleaning Heimo's yard. Discussion was made about the dump site the town had been working with Republic for the last year.

Call to order-7:04 pm
Roll Call-Merle Graffam, Dustin Brown, Tony Shanklin, Keith Crowley, Mayor Schmuker, present.
Approval of minutes-motion made by Merle to approve, Tony seconded.
Mayor informed  the council of the progress Sunrise Engineering is doing with the water project. The permits are almost completed for going under the highway. 
Justice court- $1,445 total revenue collected.  Year to Date- $32,653. Citations filed 6.
Fire-Mayor and Pat have discussed some repairs that need to be done on the fire trucks. Merle mentioned that he and Peter got the Cheif hat for Bill Tornbom up at the new firehouse. 
Citizen comments- Kris Snow would like to see something done with the stop sign at the corner of Yankee Doodle. There is currently only one stop sign and Kris feels another one needs to be put up.
Mr. Blair explained that he sees that most of the junk is from people who have abandoned their property and the junk that is building up is a danger to the area.
Old business-Council is discussing what the job description should entail and have asked Keith to write down some of his ideas.
 Ordinance 2017-1-Motion made by Tony to approve meeting schedule for 2017, seconded by Merle. Vote as follows, Merle, Yes. Dustin, Yes. Tony, Yes. Keith, Yes. Mayor Schmuker, Yes.  
 General Plan- Motion made by Merle to approve.  Seconded Tony. Vote all in favor
