WORK MEETING - 6:00 P.M.
REGULAR MEETING - 7:00 P.M.
ESCALANTE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 56 N. 100 W.
Chairman Tony Peterson called the work meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Escalante City Council Chambers.
Present at said work meeting were Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Tara Woolsey, Elaine Lott,
Terry Olsen, Ed O'Kane, Lawrence Barnes, Marlene Stowe and City Recorder Stephanie Steed.
Also present were Mayor Jerry Taylor, Louise Barnes, Greg Allen, Guy Graham, Monica Taylor, Chip Sharpe, Liz Sharpe, Bob Hartman and Howard Hutchison.
The work meeting was to review the Ordinances with the City Council.
The work meeting was adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
Chairman Peterson called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Present at said regular meeting were Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Woolsey, Lott, Barnes, Olsen, O'Kane, Stowe and City Recorder Steed.
Also present were Mayor Jerry Taylor, Louise Barnes, Greg Allen, Guy Graham, Monica Taylor, Chip Sharpe, Liz Sharpe, Bob Hartman, Howard Hutchison, Dan Reeder, Mike Stowe and
Trudy Stowe.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Commissioner Woolsey made a motion to adopt the agenda as written. Commissioner O'Kane seconded the motion. Motion carried with Commissioners O'Kane, Olsen, Woolsey, Lott and Barnes voting aye.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
DAN REEDER
Mr. Reeder said he has a sign on his property advertising his Vacation Home, but the City told him a sign is not allowed for Vacation Homes. Mr. Reeder asked the Commission to look at the Sign Ordinance. Mr. Reeder said the Sign Ordinance allows a Bed and Breakfast to have a sign but not a Vacation Home.

TRUDY STOWE - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - 245 W. 100 N.
Commissioner Stowe stated a conflict of interest because this is her daughter-in-law's project.
City Recorder Steed said letters were sent out and the City has not received any comments for or against the project. City Recorder Steed explained this is a Home Occupation B. City Recorder Steed asked the Commission how they feel about putting a Home Occupation B as a permitted use because it is not open to the public. Commissioner Barnes said he would like to leave it as a Conditional Use because of enforcement. Commissioner Barnes made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for Mrs. Stowe in accordance with chapter 8 and 20.3.2 and 20.3.2 of the Planning and Zoning Ordinances. Commissioner Lott seconded the motion. Motion carried with Commissioners Olsen, O'Kane, Lott, Woolsey and Barnes voting aye.
STOWE'S BOOKKEEPING SERVICES - BUSINESS LICNESE - 245 W. 100 N.
Commissioner Stowe stated a conflict of interest because this is her daughter-in-law's project.
City Recorder Steed explained this Business License goes with Mrs. Stowe's Conditional Use Permit above. Commissioner Woolsey made a motion to approve the Business License in accordance with the Business License Ordinance. Commissioner Olsen seconded the motion. Motion carried with Commissioners Olsen, O'Kane, Lott, Woolsey and Barnes voting aye.
Commissioner Olsen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:08 p.m.
Commissioner Woolsey seconded the motion. Motion carried all in favor.
