CORRESPONDENCE/CONTINUING EDUCATION/PRACTICE PLANS OR MODIFICATION REQUEST:
-Phuong Sheffer, review practice plan.
-Zion Pharmacy, review compounding policies and procedures.
-Susan Mason, review CE approval request.
APPOINTMENTS:

8:30 a.m. –William Cordova, new Order
9:00 a.m. – Kathryn Irons, quarterly interview
9:15 a.m. – James Bee, quarterly telephone interview
9:30 a.m. - Joanita Lake, new applicant (her request).
10:00 a.m. – Melynda Frohlich, new application.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
-Review proposed rule language to implement SB 88.
-Discussion regarding possible rules changes.
-Discuss e-mails received regarding pharmacy issues.
-Review request from Superior Care Pharmacy for authorization to operate a Pyxis system to dispense controlled substances at Care Source and St. Joseph’s Villa.
-Review letter from Arent Fox regarding Vaccines.
-Pharmacy Technician Program review:
-Birch Family Pharmacy
-Jonathon Raap, Pharm.D.
-Informational: Rite Aid Pharmacy Technician program was accredited by ASHP. Nothing was eliminated from the program; however, enhancements were made. No action required.
NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING: June 22, 2010
Meetings scheduled for the next quarter: July 27, 2010; August 24, 2010 and September 28, 2010.
