PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING
September 22, 2014
Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of Price City, Utah, will hold a Regular Meeting in the Council Chambers, 185 East Main, Price, Utah, at 5:30 PM on 09/24/2014. The Mayor reserves the right to modify the sequence of agenda items in order to facilitate special needs.

5. SWEARING IN-The Oath of Office will be given to Diana Wood as a new member of the Community Progress Committee and Bob Tanner as a new member on the Price City Library Board.
6. PUBLIC HEARING-To receive input on the Price City Capital Improvement Plan and projects planned for submission to the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) for grant and loan funding.
7. RESOLUTION 2014-19. Consideration and possible approval of An Annual Resolution Establishing the Multi-Year Price City Capital Improvement Plan. Resolution includes the setting of the SWU fees for the fiscal year.
8. RESOLUTION 2014-20. Establishes a policy to form a City Forestry Board. The intent is to formalize what the City is already doing as City staff, in managing the trees on City property and in the public right of way. The resolution fulfills the requirements of the City's eligibility to continue with: Tree City USA; and Utah Community Forestry Partnership Grant application. The board will review City trees and tree programs.
9. Ordinance 2014-003. Requirements to maintain, free of weeds and debris, the park strip and adjoining areas in the public right of way that borders a street. Replace Ord. 88-001 (1987) repealed (2011).
10. FRIENDS OF COAL-Coal & Fossil Fuel Rally- Possible sponsorship/advertisement.

12. PEACE GARDENS- Authorization to place crosses and a banner at the Peace Gardens for Domestic Violence Awareness Month for the month of October.
13. POLICE DEPARTMENT-Authorization to trade surplus firearms to Salt Lake Wholesale Sports in exchange for police ammunition and equipment.
14. POLICE DEPARTMENT-Authorization to donate two outdated surplus emergency light bars to the North Springs Shooting Range for the law enforcement section of the range.
15. POLICE DEPARTMENT-Authorization to apply for and accept a grant to purchase Automated External Defibrillators Devices (AED) for police cars and the Police Department building. The State of Utah has established a fund, administered by the Utah Department of Health-Bureau of Emergency Medical Services for the purpose of assisting police agencies to purchase AED's. The grant pays for 75% of the purchase price with a 25% City match.
16. BUSINESS LICENSES- Authorization to approve a Business License for Gray Matters Counseling, PLLC at 23 So. Carbon Ave, Suite 5 and Matsuda Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine at 874 E. 100 N.
17. STREET CLOSURE REQUEST. Consideration and possible approval of closure of 200 N from Carbon Avenue to approx 25 W for Notre Dame Oktoberfest, October 3,4, 2014.
18. EASEMENT. Consideration and possible approval of an easement for the reconfiguration of the parking lot at the Utah National Guard Armory at 600 N and Veterans Lane.
