COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to UCA 10-9a-609.5 notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights City Council will hold a public hearing on August 26, 2014, to receive input on a proposed street vacation.
The proposed vacation of right of way is located within Lot 2 of the proposed Menlove Subdivision, 8044 South Danish Road, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
Prior to the City’s incorporation, Salt Lake County vacated portions of the road in favor of a new alignment; the subject parcel was intended to be vacated with the other portions of the road which were vacated at that time. Through error, the subject parcel was not vacated. The parcel is no longer used or needed for any public purpose because the road has been realigned leaving the subject parcel as a remnant parcel that is unsuitable for any public purpose.
The hearing will be held at the Cottonwood Heights City Offices, 1265 East Fort Union Blvd., Suite 300, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard. Inquiries should be directed to Glen Goins at 801-944-7065 or ggoins@ch.utah.gov.
The proposal is available for public inspection and may be examined during regular business hours at the office of the City Recorder, 1265 E Fort Union, Blvd., Cottonwood Heights, UT 84047. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Cottonwood Heights will make reasonable accommodations to participants in the hearing. Request for assistance can be made by calling (801)944-7020 at least 48 hours before the hearing.
