3. PUBLIC HEARINGS
3.1 Public Hearing –6:30 p.m. – for the Purpose of Receiving Public Comment Regarding Proposed Resolution No. 09-57 and Proposed Resolution No. 09-58
3.1.1 Resolution No. 09-57 - A.) PUBLIC APPROVAL: Consider for adoption, a resolution approving the issuance by the City of Riverton, Utah (the “City”) of its hospital revenue bonds (the “Bonds”) in one or more series and in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $187,000,000 for the purpose of financing, refinancing or providing reimbursement to IHC Health Services, Inc., a Utah nonprofit corporation (“Intermountain”), for the acquisition, construction, improvement and equipping of certain of Intermountain’s health care facilities, all in connection with a public hearing held by the City on October 20, 2009 pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. This approval would be in addition to the approval granted by the City on March 20, 2007 to the issuance of revenue bonds for the benefit of
Intermountain in one or more series and in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $920,000,000. – Dustin Matsumori, George K. Baum &Company.
3.1.2 Resolution No. 09-58 - B. BOND RESOLUTION: Consider for adoption a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale by the City of its Hospital Revenue Bonds, Series 2009 (IHC Health Services, Inc.) (the “Series 2009 Bonds”) in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $305,000,000 and the loan of the proceeds thereof to Intermountain for the purpose of financing, refinancing or providing reimbursement for the acquisition, construction, improvement and equipping of certain health care facilities of Intermountain; providing that the Series 2009 Bonds shall be payable solely and exclusively from the revenues arising from the pledge of a note of Intermountain given as security for the Series 2009 Bonds and in no event to constitute a general obligation or liability of the City or a charge against its general credit or taxing powers; authorizing the execution and delivery by the City of an Indenture of Trust and Pledge, a Loan Agreement, a Bond Purchase Contract and a Tax Exemption Certificate and Agreement in connection with the issuance of the Series 2009 Bonds; and certain related matters. - Dustin Matsumori, George K.
