ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS:
1. Call Meeting to Order
2. Review of the May 3, 2012 Minutes
3. Review monthly NCLEX pass rates for provisionally approved programs.
APPOINTMENTS:
9:00 a.m. - Broadview University
9:30 a.m. - Nightingale College of Nursing
10:00 a.m. -Update regarding Medication Aide Certified.
10:30 a.m. – Report on visit to Aspen Clinical Research.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
-Review written reports from provisionally approved programs:
• Eagle Gate College. Review request regarding math pre-requisite course.
• Everest College. Report regarding the MOU issued.
• Fortis College
• Western Governors University
• University of Utah
-Review letter from Utah State University regarding transferring approval of the CEU program to USU. Dr. Hobbins report on the MOU issued to CEU.
-Letter of intent from Snow College to seek approval to establish the Snow College Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program.
-Weber State response to the NLNAC regarding three substantive program changes to be implemented fall 2012.
-Review letter from Stevens-Henager.
-Review letter from Chamberlain College of Nursing regarding post-licensure nursing program approvals and pre-licensure clinical learning experiences for non-resident students.
-Determine next meeting date (currently scheduled for July 5, 2012).
FYI:
Karla Larson PhD, MSN, RN – new Nursing Program Administrator for Provo College.
NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING: July 5, 2012?
Meetings scheduled for the next quarter: August 2, 2012; September 6, 2012 and October 4, 2012.
