Summary: A detailed framework for the proposed Residential Infill Overlay Zone ordinance has been available on the County Planning and Development Services website since January 1, 2009.  Community council responses have been solicited by the Commission in both written and oral-presentation forms.  Each community council will be given 15 minutes to make a presentation in the following order:
Mt. Olympus 
Canyon Rim 
East Millcreek 
(West) Millcreek.  
Individual public comment will be heard at a future meeting to be scheduled by the Commission.
Concerns Discussed: The Canyon Rim Community Council discussed most of the public was split on thinking it was either too restrictive or not restrictive enough, their vote was 7 against adoption and 6 for, some felt it was too complicated, they wanted options provided, they felt that compatability was important, and they wanted to look at Holiday's ordinance; the Mt. Olympus Community Council discussed their recommendation for approval with changes, they were pro infill changes, they felt Holiday's approach was good, the height should be changes to 35 feet, 28 feet is too restrictive on a slope, increase the compatability review to 650 feet, existing structures need to be declaired; the Millcreek Community Council discussed their desire to withdrway from the overlay, they want their own, the studying done by their members, they have held other meetings, the desire for common ground, the concerns over height, bption B in the proposal, their vote was 7 to 5; the Millcreek Community Council discussed they liked the format, appartment concerns, they liked the direction, the current proposal is over limiting they are pro 32 feet height, they discussed set backs, heights, wavors, notification concerns, and people with current building plans; the Commission discussed future plans, and a possible town hall meeting.
