- Notice is hereby given that the Logan Municipal Council will hold its regular meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in the Logan Municipal Council Chambers located at 290 North 100 West, Logan, Utah 84321. Council meetings are televised live as a public service on Channel 17 and streamed on the City of Logan YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFLPAOK5eawKS_RDBU0stRQ 5:30 p.m. REGULAR MEETING AGENDA 1. QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL: Any person wishing to comment on any item not otherwise on the agenda may address the City Council at this point by stepping to the microphone and giving his or her name and the City where you reside for the record. Comments should be limited to not more than three (3) minutes, unless additional time is authorized by the Council Chair. Citizen groups will be asked to appoint a spokesperson. This is the time and place for any person who wishes to comment on non-agenda items. Items brought forward to the attention of the City Council will be turned over to staff to provide a response outside of the City Council meeting. ESTIMATED time of consideration 6. (Continued from December 5, 2023) - REZONE - Consideration of a proposed ordinance for a rezone of approximately 2 acres comprised of eight (8) parcels located on both sides of 100 North between 100 and 200 East - Ordinance 23-35 - Tanya Rice, Planner 6:45 9. WORKSHOP ITEM: A. Budget Adjustments FY 2023-2024 appropriating: $71,345 from the State of Utah for alcohol enforcement; $53,266 for police overtime shift reimbursements; $1,500,000 funds the Public Works Department was awarded from the Cache County Council of Governments (COG) for improvements on the 1000 North Corridor - Resolution 24-03 - Richard Anderson, Finance Director 10. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: 7:00 11. ADJOURN On Friday, January 12th 2024 at 5:00 p.m. a copy of the foregoing notice was posted in conspicuous view in the front foyer of Logan City Hall, Logan, Utah. A copy was also posted on the Logan City website at loganutah.org and the State Public Meeting Notice website at http://pmn.utah.gov. DATED THIS 12th day of JANUARY 2024 Teresa Harris, City Recorder Council Members may participate in the meeting via telephonic communication. If a Council Member does participate via telephonic communication, the Council Member will be on speakerphone. The speakerphone will be amplified so that the other Council Members and all other persons present in the Council Chambers will be able to hear all discussions. In compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations or assistance during this meeting shall notify Teresa Harris, City Recorder, at 435-716-9002, at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Meetings are conducted at the discretion of the Council, and we ask for your cooperation in maintaining the following: a) Consideration of items will occur as indicated on the printed agenda, although the Council reserves the right to alter the order if the need arises. b) Those speaking are asked to keep comments relevant to the matter being considered. c) Outbursts, including cheers, jeers, and applause are not appropriate as they may discourage those with opposing views from speaking. d) Items involving a large number of people wishing to make comments, a time limit may be imposed. e) Once the public comment portion for a particular item has been closed, no additional public comments are allowed, unless requested by the Council. f) Anyone wishing to speak is asked to sign in at the podium. g) All public comment and questions will be made into the microphone at the podium to allow for recording of the proceeding. h) The meeting is managed by the Chair. All questions/comments will be directed to the Council.
