- The Mount Pleasant City Council will hold a regular meeting January 23rd, 2024, at 6:30p.m. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 115 West Main Street, Mount Pleasant, Welcome --Mayor 1. Opening Ceremony - By Invitation Pledge of Allegiance Opening Prayer 2. Oath of Office- Chief Steve Gray 3. Roll Call - Recorder 4. Approval of Claims and Requisitions - Mayor Claims Register: Dated 01/06/2024 to 01/19/2024 in the amount of $113,645.33. Requisitions: Requisitions As needed. 5. Approval of Minutes: January 9th, 2024, Regular City Council Meeting 6. SWAT Award - Sergeant Nate Taylor and Officer John Blackburn 7. Resolution 2024-02 Adopting Fire Department Standard Operating Procedures- Chief Sam Draper 8. 7:00 PM Zoom Call from Larson & Company Audit Report - Jon S. Haderlie 9. Discussion/Action on the following items: a. Sixth County Regional Information - Cade Penney b. New Planning and Zoning Member- Ron Richmond 10. Public Participation Members of the public may address the City Council on matters not listed on the agenda. Those interested should sign up on the form just inside the council room door right before the meeting begins. Participation is limited to three minutes. The participant will be allowed to address the Council and may submit documents outlining their issue. The Council cannot take legal action on public comment at this time. At the conclusion of each comment, the Council will have time to respond to criticism made by those who have addressed them, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda.
