- AGENDA HUNTINGTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING October 18, 2023 Notice is hereby given that the Huntington City Council will hold its regularly scheduled council meeting October 18, 2023 at the city office building located at 20 South Main. Meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. Agenda will be as follows: 6:30 P.M. Roll Call Opening Remarks Pledge of Allegiance PUBLIC HEARING 1: MAVERIK LAND PURCHASE Disposing of city owned property. There is a purchase sale agreement (PSA) between Huntington City and Maverik. The property is described as: Parcel No: 01-0188-0032, 1.5 acres of real property located at the southwest corner on 300 South and Main Street in Huntington. Known as LOT 4, BLOCK 5, HUNTINGTON TOWNSITE SURVEY. PUBLIC HEARING 2: EMERY COUNTY LAND SWAP Transferring of lands between Huntington City and Emery County. There is an agreement between Huntington City and Emery County to swap parcels. Huntington City owns parcel #01-0188-0031, 5.10 acres of land LOTS 1, 2 & 3, BLOCK 5, HUNTINGTON TOWNSITE SURVEY. Emery County owns parcel No. 01-0175-0020, land approximately located at 650 North 200 West, Huntington, Utah, 0.90 acres more or less. Emery County owns land approximately located at 176 West 100 North, Huntington, Utah, 0.35 acres recorded as Parcel No. 01-0196-0050, known as Senior Citizen building, LOT 2 BLOCK 43, HUNTINGTON TOWNSITE SURVEY. START OF REGULARLY SCHEDULED CITY COUNCIL MEETING 1. Public Comments (limit of 3 minutes) 2. MOTION: CONSENT AGENDA - Approval of September 21, 2023 City Council Minutes - City Claims and Review of Financials 3. MOTION: Business license 4. Youth City Council Oath of Office for Mayor and Council 5. MOTION: Approval to include additional 0.20 acres to Maverik 6. MOTION: Resolution 15-2023 Agreement between Maverik and Huntington City 7. MOTION: Resolution 14-2023 Authorizing an agreement between Huntington City and Emery County 8. Mayor's Report 9. Departmental Reports (Fire department, Maintenance department) 10. Youth City Council report 11. Council's Reports 12. Zoning Administrator Report 13. Adjournment Notice Provisions: Motions relating to any of the foregoing including final action may be taken at the meeting. The order of agenda items may change to accommodate the needs of the City Council, the staff, and the public. If necessary, executive session may be held in accordance with the Utah Code 52-4-205. CERTIFICATE OF POSTING The undersigned, duly appointed City Recorder, does hereby certify that the above notice and agenda were posted on the Utah Public Notice Website, Huntington City Website and three places within the Huntington City limits. These public places being 1) Huntington City Hall; 2) Desertview Federal Credit Union; and 3) the U.S. Post Office The public is invited to attend all city council meetings.
