- Health and Sex Education Curriculum Review Committee November 1, 2023 in CTE Classroom#2 Chair: Jessica Mohler Attending: Guest Attendees: Wendy LeFevre, Lisa Pruitt, Please excuse Suzanne today Opening Statement: We will now begin our Health and Sex Education Curriculum Review Committee meeting. This meeting is being recorded. Today is [date]. Committee members in attendance today are [names]. We will now begin the discussion of our agenda items. Agenda: Welcome Review Norms This is a recommendation committee. This is a safe place for discussion. All recommendations will be made through a simple majority vote. All recommendations will be supported by the majority. The public may address the committee, following the same procedures used in Nebo School District Meetings. All meetings will be posted and the public may contact the chair if they want to make a statement. A time limit of 3 minutes per person will be adhered to. The committee will take the public comments under advisement as it considers recommendations. Review and approve minutes, October 4, 2023 Review of materials, continued Update on babycenter.com Sex position portion of website is available for students to see on school wifi and chromebooks. Recommended that babycenter.com is resource for teachers but not to send students to. Child Development teachers have been notified about sending a note home stating a live birth will be shown in class along with the sex ed consent form. Health II teachers will be notified about this next week at their district meeting.
