This meeting will be conducted both in-person and electronically via Webex Meetings. If an individual is unable to attend the meeting in person, they may email their comments to adepaz@slco.org by 10:00 AM the day of the meeting to have the comments distributed to the board and read into the record at the appropriate time. 11:55 Business Item - Approval of August 2023 Minutes Board will vote on the approval of August 2023 meeting minutes. Action Item: Board Vote Required - Minutes approval 12:00 Director's Report Martin Jensen, Division Director Martin will provide a brief overview of division-wide updates. Informational: No Action Required 12:15 Parks, Trails & Open Spaces Outcomes and Indicators for 2024 Patrick Leary, Associate Director of Parks, Trails & Open Spaces Patrick will present and review the outcomes and indicators for 2024 as it pertains to the Parks' department. Informational: No Action Required 12:25 Community Engagement Updates Liz Sollis, Associate Director of Community Engagement Liz will provide an overview of community events, both upcoming and recently celebrated, including: - Wheeler Farm: Talking-Trees (Tree Removal and Planting) - Family and Friends Night at Wheeler Farm Informational: No Action Required 12:35 Introduction of New Staff Members Brent Laulusa, Associate Director of Fiscal and Admin Doranne Pittz, Associate Director of Recreation Callista Peason, PR and Communications Manager Brent, Doranne, and Callista will introduce Parks and Recreation's newest team members, each from their respective departments.
